Access POP3 Email/Multiple Accounts Using Yahoo Webmail
What happens if your email provider doesn't support
Web based email? How do you get your email when your on the road, on
holiday from another computer?
Well one solution would be to simply change to an ISP
that does! That maybe a bit drastic and involves lots of
complications. There is however a very simple and elegant solution if
you have a Yahoo email account (including free accounts)
Here we will look at a very nice Yahoo email feature that
allows you to use your yahoo mailbox as a central mailbox for multiple
email accounts.
You can configure yahoo email to retrieve email from
other mailboxes in much the same way that you configure Outlook
express to access multiple mailboxes. Once you configure Yahoo to pull
email from other accounts then the email is placed in your Yahoo inbox
just like email that is sent directly to the Yahoo mailbox.
Once the email is in your Yahoo Mailbox you can read
it using Yahoo Webmail (i.e. your browser) or if you have a paid
account you can retrieve it using your normal POP3 client.
The external POP3 accounts aren't checked
automatically. You have to request that Yahoo checks them by clicking
"check other POP mail accounts" on the screen.
You can even leave the email on your server so that you can download it to your normal email
client when you return.

Synchronize your Outlook Express Address Book with

To send email normally you will also need access to
your outlook express address book when using Yahoo Webmail ,-
Yahoo-Intellisync allows you to
synchronize your address book between your desktop email client and
Yahoo Webmail.
