Creating Custom Views In Outlook Express
The default folder views that come with Outlook Express are rather basic but it is possible to create your own custom
views. Once created the view
can be applied to the appropriate folder or all folders.
Here we are going to create custom view that only displays high priority
messages.
1. On the View menu, point to Current View. From the screen shot below you
will see that the current view is set to show all messages.

2. Click Define Views and then Click New.

3. In pane 1 select one or more conditions for the view you are creating. The
View Description box (pane 2) describes the view as you create it.

4 Click any blue underlined word (like priority above) in the View
Description box to choose an option or to enter a value.
5. Click Show/Hide to decide whether to show or hide the messages that
meet the view conditions.
6. In pane 3 give the view a name. The final view is shown below

7. Click ok.
to apply the view highlight it and click apply view, you receive a
dialogue box asking you if it should be applied to the highlighted folder
or all folders. Select as appropriate (here I apply it to the inbox only)
and click ok.
8. Click ok to to close. The screen shot below shows the inbox with
the priority view applied.

9. To change between views go to the view>current view and select the view you
want applied. The applied view is indicated by a black circle.
Note:
If you create a view that causes messages to unexpectedly disappear from view,
simply change the Show/Hide settings for the view.
Sorting Messages in Outlook Express
Another way of managing messages in a folder is to sort the messages by their
message properties. This allows you to display the messages by the date received
, message sender etc. To learn how see the tutorial

Express.
