Incredimail Uses its own address book and doesn't rely on the Windows address book like Outlook Express does. Here we will look at basic address book use, management and maintenance.

To Manually Add a Contact to The Address Book

There are two main methods of doing this:

  1. Click Tools> Address Book to open the address book or click the addresses icon from the menu bar.
  2. In the Address Book, Click the contact icon.

The new contact window is displayed
  3. On the  type  the first and last name of the contact and the display name is automatically completed. You can manually edit this field if you want.
  4. Enter the email address
  5. Add any information you would like to include in the other tabs.
  6. If you want it to be a key contact (displays under folders in main window) the check the tick box.

The other way will add the address of a contact that has sent you an email.

  • In the message view main window (their is no need to open the message) right click the message and select add sender to address book. A contact window will open allowing you to modify the contact properties, click ok when done.

or

If you have opened the message

  • Place the cursor over the name in the from field (top of message above  date) and right click and select add to contacts. A contact window will open allowing you to modify the contact properties, click ok when done.

Key Contacts
