IncrediMail letters

IncrediMail letters allow you to personalize your email, whether business or personal.

IncrediMail letters are the equivalent to Outlook Express stationary and some people use the term IncrediMail stationary instead of letters.

An IncrediMail letter is in effect an HTML email, and so for the user to receive the letter correctly he needs to have an HTML email Client like Outlook Express or IncrediMail.

There are many letters incorporated with IncrediMail itself and there are additional letters and updates available at the IncrediMail Gallery .

In addition to the letters provided by IncrediMail there are many sites on the Internet providing letters, stationary and Ecards and usually for free. A list of some of the more popular ones is at the end of this article.

Download and Install an IncrediMail letter, Ecard or Stationary

IncrediMail letters, Ecards and stationary come as .imf files. To install you usually just need to double click the letter thumb nail. The .imf file will download and the IncrediMail installer will automatically install it (screenshot below).

If the IncrediMail program is not installed on your machine then you will see the standard windows file download dialog box asking you to select a location to store the file instead of seeing the IncrediMail installer.

IncrediMail Letter Collections

When you install an IncrediMail letter the letter is stored in a collection, if the collection name doesn't exist it is automatically created. Collections are equivalent to folders and are used to organise IncrediMail letters. In the screenshot above you can clearly see the letter and collection name.

IncrediMail Ecards

Ecards are normally viewed on Web sites . When someone sends an Ecard the recipient receives a link to the card in an email. When the recipient clicks on that link they are taken to the Ecard website. In IncrediMail the Ecard is sent directly as mail, and so an Ecard is in fact just another name for letter or stationary.

Most of the letters, Ecards and Stationary at these sites are free you should always read the download and use instructions to avoid any copyright misuse etc.

Note: When searching for IncrediMail letters on the Internet remember that many sites still use the term IncrediMail Stationary. Also in IncrediMail there is no difference between a Letter and an Ecard.

New letters are available from the Incredimail web site on a regular basis especially around festive occasions like Valentines, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
