Setup/Configure IncrediMail for Gmail Access

Setting up IncrediMail for Gmail is very similar to setting up IncrediMail to access other Email accounts.

Incredimail will auto configure many of the settings. If you manually change them you need to pay attention to the POP3 and SMTP server configurations as they use Secure socket layer or TLS encryption which require that you configure different port numbers. You also need to configure SMTP authentication.

The configuration settings are listed in a table at the end, they should be for reference only.
 

1. First Enable/configure your Gmail account for POP3 if you haven't already done so
2. Open  IncrediMail.
3. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts
4. Click add . The Account wizard opens.
5. Select let me configure settings myself and click next.
6. Enter your display name ( how you would like to be known) and  your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com) in the email address field.
   
   
   
    and click Next.
    
7. Enter your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com') in the Account name field. This is the account name you use to logon to Google mail. Enter your Gmail password in the Password field.
   
   
    
8. Click Finish. A web page will open which guides you through enabling your Gmail account for POP3 access. You should have already done this so you can ignore it.
