To check email at yahoo you need to go to the Yahoo web site at www.yahoo.com.On the right side of the home page you will see a box called personal assistant. Click the "sign in" link to sign in using your Yahoo Id. Once you have signed in the personal assistant shows three more links, click the "mail" link to go to your mailbox. When you log into your Yahoo Mail account you will see how many unread email messages you have on the welcome screen. If you click on the folder (inbox) you will go to a screen showing the contents of the inbox, where you can read your messages. Any new email will be delivered to your mailbox as it arrives; however, you may not notice it as standard yahoo mail does not notify you of new email. To check for new email you can either refresh the screen by clicking the "Check Mail" link, reloading or refreshing your browser, or viewing a different page. To receive new message alerts at all times you need either Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Companion.
