Create Outlook Express Stationary -For Free

Although Outlook Express comes with stationary many people want to Create Outlook Express stationary of their own. As using ready made stationary limits you to other peoples' ideas of what attractive stationery is.

It is, however, surprisingly easy to create your own Stationary for Outlook Express.

When creating your own stationary you can save it in any of the two formats .eml ot HTML as discussed in Outlook Express Stationary. The easiest however is to save it as a .eml file.

If you are going to save it as HTML files then you need to save the files in the correct stationary directory. Depending on you version of Windows that location of your stationary files may vary so check it by doing a search as follows:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Choose Search (or Find).
3. Enter the name of a piece of some known Outlook stationary e.g. leaves.
4. Make a note of the directory it is in.

Create Outlook Express Stationary Using Someone else's Stationary

There are many ways of creating your own Outlook Express stationary and by far the easiest is to use someone else's stationary or HTML file.

If somebody sends you email with stationery that you like, then all you need do to use it yourself is:
To save as HTML files
1. Open the message and choose File > Save as Stationery.
2. Once saved you can use it by choosing message > New Message Using-select stationery to select the stationary

Or

To save as .eml
1. Open the message and choose File > Save as
2. Select the location to save the file (any directory you choose) and save the file as filename.eml (.eml is the default).
3. To use the stationary double click the file and a message window opens for you to enter details.

Creating your own basic stationary from scratch is not very difficult either, you can either start by using notepad or an HTML editor, or simply use Outlook Express itself to create the stationary.
