Creating and Using Signatures In Outlook Express
Most signatures use text only signatures and these are configured as shown
previously in Outlook Express Signatures. It is however possible to create
signatures containing images and more stylistic fonts, and even animated
signatures.
To do this you need to create an external html signature file.
Creating an HTML Signature File
The first tool you need is a web page editor. The one I use is
Trellian Webpage
which is a very simple, free but powerful WYSIWYG editor. Open the editor
and create a new page then insert your graphics and text.

When you have finished save the file as signature1.htm (here I've saved it to c:\signatures\signature1.htm.
Now
- Open up Outlook Express
- Go to
"Tools>Options"
- Click The
Signature Tab.
- Click new to create a new signature
- In the edit section select file radio button and browse to locate the
signature file and then click ok. (see below)

You can now use the signature in your email. You have to remember that because
the signature is HTML the recipient must support html email to see it.
If you wanted to you could even add a background sound to the signature. (see
email sounds).
