If you want to contact someone and don't know their email address then provided you know some details about them ,in particular the last name (surname) then you should be able to find them in the Yahoo directory.

You don't need to have a Yahoo Id, or be logged on in order to search for a Yahoo email address .

To search for a email address go to the Yahoo people search home page and type in the first and last name of that person, click the radio button next to email and then search.

If you receive too many results then you can try to be more specific by entering the location.

If you want to create or edit your own listing in the Yahoo directory then you need to login using your Yahoo Id. This you can do by clicking the sign in link and the top of the search page.

Once logged in refresh the screen on the search page and you should see a link called "create/edit my listing". click on this link and it will take you to your account details for you to edit. When finished click the finished button and you will know be listed in the directory (usually after a couple of days).

If you can't find the email address in the yahoo directory it could be because either:

a) They don't and never had a yahoo email account

b) They choose not to list themselves in the directory.
