Microsoft have just confirmed that windows vista home edition will not now be available until January 2007 so Outlook Express has another 9 months before it becomes Windows mail.

You may already be aware that Microsoft are working on a collection of web based services called windows live. For those of you who like new things you may want to take a look at windows live mail.

Managing Email Addresses with Address Books

Overture last month recorded over 34,000 search queries for the term "find email address" . That's not an exception, but the norm. Why are so many people searching for emails addresses? Well I don't suppose to know the answer but I suspect that many have lost email addresses due to data loss through system crashes, moving computers etc.

So in this months Ezine we will focus on managing email addresses so hopefully you wont be one of those people searching the web next month for someone's email address that was once stored safely on your own computer.

For windows users all windows versions come with the windows address book, which most people access via Outlook Express. However the windows address book is actually a stand alone application. -See Outlook Express address book for details on how to use, manage the address book

Incredimail uses its own address book which is not related to the windows address book. However it is very easy to transfer addresses between the two email clients by exporting and importing them. See Incredimail Address Book.

Even though Incredimail doesn't use the windows address book it is possible to send an email to someone in the windows address book using IncrediMail- see this months IncrediMail tips.

Msn Shared Calendars

Last week I mentioned we talked about Yahoo calendars so this week its the turn of MSN hotmail. If you open your hotmail mailbox and click calendars you will find a link called sharing. Click the link to share and manage your shared calendars.

Just like with Yahoo you can integrate your MSN calendar into your website by following the guide putting a  Yahoo/Hotmail calendar on your own website.
