Recover Outlook Express Account Passwords
You configured Outlook Express to access email from your POP3 or hotmail account and for some reason you need the password, perhaps to configure outlook express on another machine. There's only one problem... you've forgot it ! No need to panic. There is a very simple and free solution. All you need to do is to download the free password unmasker from alpinesnow.com ( at bottom of page) and proceed as follows: 1. Install password unmask and then run it. When running it opens a window like the one below.
2. Open up Outlook Express and go to Tools>accounts>mail. 3. Select the account and then select servers. Click in the password field and the password is revealed- see below:
The password unmasker also works for outlook express hotmail accounts and I would assume, but not tested, the new Gmail accounts-see below:
